Need to renew my driving licence but I lost my old one...

    Hi. I need to renew my driving licence but I've lost my old one (didn't even notice until the renewal letter arrived and I looked for it!).

    The notice states that I must go to an NDLS office and hand it my old one. Does anyone know what I can do here?? :confused:

    "Expired licence or permit
    If your most recent driving licence or learner permit has been lost, stolen or damaged but has also expired and is no longer valid, you can only apply for a new licence or permit. You must complete application form D401 for a driving licence or application form D201 for a learner permit. The form must be signed and stamped by a Garda in your local Garda station."

    And you don't have your Longform birth certificate to aid your application unless you've turned it up since 2008.
