Open Tray on Xbox 360

    Hi,

    My son's Xbox 360 seems unable to read discs at the minute. With any disc in the drive, all it says is "open tray" where you expect it to say play disc. Is this a common problem? If so, where can they get repaired and how much? Xbox is about 3.5 years old, so out of warranty!

    It's likely the laser unit is burned out, quite common really. You should be able to find someone in the modding services sticky at the top of this forum who can help you (assuming they still offer any services), & it's cheap enough too.
