Closing limited company

my son has a limited company which was formed in February 2014 and he has decided to close it down. The company only performed one contract and has an account balance of 3k. We are going to close it ourselves by way of voluntary strike off, this seems least costly. Vat is up todate also. We will submit annual return to cro, including abridged accounts, we will complete ct1 for revenue, apply for letter of no objection from revenue and place the advert in newspaper. However as there are no registered staff can someone advise how to take the balance from the account out. We are not trying to avoid tax, usc or anything else just some advice on how to legally do it. There are no loans, creditors or debtors. Thanks for any advice

Like I say the company is not registered as employer and if possible don't want register at this stage, so can we pay directors salary without registering as employer?

As your son has no more business expenses, he would have to pay the 3k as salary.

    * Mod Edit * hello CompanyBureau, you might want to request an official rep status with Boards.ie Admin.

Make your son redundant and then go for voluntary strike off.
