Octavia clutch

Hi, The clutch in Mrs. W's 04 Octavia 1.9 TDI ASV was definitely slipping recently, but now it seems ok. Is there an auto adjust that might have been slow to activate? It's probably on the way out anyway, but I was just wondering. Thanks for any ideas.

I wonder if you have an oil leak in the bell housing area.
