Peugeot 307 - How to centre airbag cable?

    Hi all!

I am about to replace a comm 2000 unit in my peugeot 307 however I have read that a "knob" from where airbag cables come out must be set in a good position. (i.e. centered so that he airbag robbon inside that "knob" doesn't brake). Can anyone tell me how do you do this?

My model is a 2003 2.0HDi model however the one I bought the comm unit from is a 2005 model. Every time I turn it to the left there is a "click" sound but it doesn't want to turn to the right as the force opposing it is too big and I don't want to damage it.

    Thanks.

I think there is a lock on those to stop them moving till the steering wheel is fitted you need to make sure you can turn it two turns both ways.

So mark it with tip ex turn it left two turns then two turns back then two turns to the right if you can do that without resistance centre it and fit it.
