    Hi,

I'm in Galway city and need to quickly upgrade the memory on my laptop.
The laptop spec is as follows:

    Lenovo laptop G580
    Windows 8.1
    64 bit
4 GB RAM (3.85 GB usable)
Processor is Intel Core (TM) i3-3110M CPU @2.4GHz

There is ony one free memory slot. From reading online, it seems that the max memory that the laptop can handle is 8 GB.

So, anybody know where I can get a 4GB of memory in Galway city?
    I think what I need is - 1 x 4 GB DDR3.

    How about Maplin?

    Thanks.

Use crucial.com. Just order it, and put it in yourself. Easy peasy and cheap.

Buy it online. Maplins prices are astoundingly bad - if I had to buy retail, PC World is the better option. Last time I was in Maplin 8Gb ram was €160 (versus about 70 online).

Else go on adverts.ie and buy second hand - easy to get ram there for a decent price.
