Impossible to say really. Demand may increase as people might get more desperate as the auction goes on. Or the number of gems needed to win an auction could decrease, seeing as loads of people have already blown their loads trying to win the first few.

You're only looking at a few cent either way, so I wouldn't worry about it.

Yeah I sold 2 bags yesterday @€;0.52, but like that was wondering whether I should have held onto them.

The only thing that was worrying me was that they would be worthless at the end of the auction and wasn't sure if the auction ended before the sale or at the end of it

You could convert the 1000 in nearly to booster packs of the likes of trails in the sky each card goes for around 20 cent so you would get about €1.20

I converted all my cards to gems thinking, whehey, free games. So I cobbled together my bundle of gems and ventured on to the marketplace ready to bid on all before me but I left disappointed with my measly pile of 2000 gems :(

@OP Just make sure you get out before the big gem bubble of `14, many people lost their fortune that year.

It's finally happened. Valve have managed to come up with a holiday event that I have no interest in.

Perhaps after the last one, where they essentially turned buying games into a game, I'm just jaded by the whole company. While I'm all for free enterprise, it just seems that Valve don't get flack for something that other companies would get crucified for.

I never bother with any of this ****e from valve. I just play the games. Any drops I sell. Any dlcs I don't bother with.
Towards the end of the csgo breakout I did buy the operation but that was to just make a profit . Paid 75 cent. I made about 5 euros on it, plus a bit of crack doing the missions

Wellllll.... they are gamifying wall street, with games, something gamers care about.

Imagine if 10 years from now gamers staged a coup and overtook wall street. The world would be a little less corrupt (but full of trolls)
