Getting new grip fitted to club

Hi there, my father has mentioned that for Christmas he would like a 'fatter' grip on one of his putters- I think it is an Odyssey? I was wondering if anyone knows where/how I could get something like that done? I was thinking of asking in McGuirks Golf in Blanch, but thought I would ask here first. I can see on their site they sell grips, is it something I can reasonably DIY?

Ideally somewhere in D15, city centre, or somewhere reasonably close to public transport(I don't drive).

McGuriks is fine for getting a jumbo grip, but to be honest I'd get him a voucher just incase he changes his mind.

Almost every golfer would prefer a voucher I think

I called up McGuirks and apparently they will do it, so I will just drop the club in there and hopefully that will sort it.

I did consider the voucher option as well, but I got him that last year(and the year before that) and this year he actually did mention this as a specific, so it would be nice to get something more 'physical'. Might throw in a voucher as well though..

About 10 different types of fatter grips so make sure you know which one he wants.

DIY job. Did my irons the other day 10 of them took about 1.5 hours and I had never done it before. Played with them the following day no problem. All you need is a vice a stanley knife, double sided tape and I used white spirits as the solvent.
Take off old grip, clean shaft back to bare metal, measure just shy of the length of double sided tape in comparison to the grip and leave half an inch extra over the top. Wrap it around the shaft and twist the excess at the top and shove it back down the shaft to stop debris entering, douse tape in white spirits and pour some more into the grip with a quick shake and shove on the new grip.
It's very easy to do once you keep it in the vice and make sure its lined up correctly. The white spirits will evaporate itself and I used 2" double sided tape i got in an arts and craft shop.

Otherwise pay someone if you're not sure.....

In the end McGuirks did the job for me. No cost for the actual labour, just the cost of the new grip. Seems to be a solid job. Thanks all.
