Shipping phones

    Can I ship a phone with An Post to the UK? Is their a rule against shipping phones internationally because of batteries and what not?

    They wont accept anything with a lithium-ion battery.

    List of prohibited items here :-

    Other couriers will accept it, with a completed lithium battery declaration.

    Cheers mate... An Post would have cost about 10 quid to ship. Is there anyone who can compete with that price? Everywhere else seems to be dearer or else they have the same policy.

    This is a real pain as I have several phones to sell ( over 50 ) and they sell quicker on the UK market.

    Here's a though, Royal Mail would send it. 'Lithium ion/polymer/metal/alloy batteries when sent contained in electronic equipment such as a mobile phone or digital camera are allowed.'

    Is there any service in NI I could send it to and then have them post it? It may work out cheaper than couriers. I have an unfortunate lack of friends in the North.

    Ok so I assume they are ok to ship items with batteries as they must be not be going by plane?
