I have another similar post on this. I'm really looking for regs/law on it.

Tried to purchase holiday on well known reputable holiday site.
All well till payment at end. I inputted correct credit card details
However got error message - incorrect credit card details given-
Payment not accepted. Then decided as a result of that ( well missus did lol)
That prefer to go to different location. I did no more. Thought card rejected
No purchase gone through , nothing purchased. However some time later
That morning despite card being rejected I got email that holiday booked
And card debited 1500. I don't believe that my authority was requested.
I didn't input credit card details a second time. I wasn't contacted for
A re authorisation or anything like that. Have I a case for refund?
Is there case law is anyone aware?

.  Your Rights 1. The right to change your mindWhen you shop online you have the right to a “cooling-off†period of 14 calendar days where you can withdraw from the contract and return your purchases to the seller. You do not have to give any reason but bear in mind you may have to pay for the cost of returning the goods. Please note however that some purchases are not covered by the cooling-off period – for instance, hotel bookings, car rental, travel tickets and other leisure services are specifically excluded from this provision.Other exceptions include:Goods which are made to
