How many cards do you send? Also What happened to all the post offices?

I rarely use snail mail thanks to the internet age. I hadn't been to a post office in ages. But with the season that's in it I have two packages to send on Monday to people in the UK.

I have found out what used to be my two local branches had closed ages ago. And my nearest post office now is in the shopping centre which is a headache and it's going to be packed in there next week.

And I am going to have to pay for express delivery now too because I am a disorganized fool!



I know there were lots of rural closures lately too.

But now the post office wants to process more govt services to keep more open.They want you to do your tax renewals your hospital charges and your water charges there?

But they close for lunch 13:00-14:15 when everyone else is on lunch and they close at five etc???

It's stupid.

Also am trying to get over 50 cards done to family and friends in time so it can be done all in one go.

Weirdly I am sending cards to people I have not heard from in ages because they are on my list and not sending cards to people who I know better now because they are not on the list. If i get a card from someone I haven't send one back to I will be pissed off!

How many cards do you send?

DO you just buy them or make your own.

I know someone who has cards made.

none...I hand them out in person (just 5 or 6...to my family/godparents)

Oh no it's one of those American style ones with a photograph of them all on it and inside is a printed story of how the year was for all of them.

I find that I can of have to send Christmas cards as I know I will receive a few from family and friends, be kind of rude not to reciprocate.

Kind of circle of annoyance.

I sent out guide dogs for the blind xmas cards - cute puppies and happy to support em. I don't know how many I sent. Definitely not 50. Maybe 10

Approx 5 to older relatives, I love getting Christmas cards in the post.

I send about 25 and get the same every year. Its good to get away from bytes and to receive something handwritten once a year.
