Very dodgy this morning round Knocklyon and Firhouse. Even approaching ten o clock it was properly slippy in the shade even on the main roads.

About halfway up towards the Sally Gap this afternoon the slush turned to ice and the wheels were pretty much spinning on the spot so not a goer. Turned back and took the right turn to enniskerry but should have remembered that road is always colder than those around it as every bit of water on it had turned to solid ice. Got through it but would advise to avoid.

Thanks for that, was half thinking of the gap tomorrow, but may go the old long hill instead.
