I sometimes have a strange problem with my HTC one. I'm in a friend's house in the UK. Connected to his wifi first time fine. Try again today, won't connect at all. Is there a way to reset my setting as I cannot understand why it's not working. Girlfriend has the same phone and have problem too. Weird!

Go to advanced WiFi settings and see if there's an option called 'Avoid poor connections' or something similar.

Try changing channels on the router. My HTC Desire was fussy (IIRC) and my TV won't hold Wifi channel 13.

Europe uses channels 1-13, USA uses 1-11, therefore some devices set to USA regs will have trouble with channels 12 and 13 so it's best to avoid unless you know your devices will work. Iphones and Macs were notorious for this, I encountered this problem in a few offices.

Mass is right on the mark. There are plenty of devices out there that arent CH13 compatible, but if your devices ARE its handy as its often disabled from "Auto" mode on many access points (especially ISP ones).
