    Hey,

There's a group of 7 of us heading to Berlin for 3 nights on the 21st of January. What are they must-do's? Best nightlife spots? We're staying 5 minutes from Alexanderplatz. We're all early to mid 20s.

    Cheers.

If you're into it, tresor is an unforgettable experience. It scarred half our group for life and the rest of us long to go back.

Was there a few weeks ago and think it's an amazing place.

I did most of the touristy things but if you're looking to get pissed there's a load of places ye can try.

There's an Irish pub in the Europa shopping centre which I thought was good, that's only a few stops on the uBahn from Alexanderplatz.

I may have a think for a bit but there's a load of places I'd recommend.

Why would you go to an Irish pub in Germany.

Are there not enough Irish pubs in Ireland?

It's a pretty cool thing to see.

You're in this totally modern city and all of a sudden it's like you're back in rural Ireland.

Home comforts? I don't know! :pac:

The TV Tower beside you has a rotating restaurant with a DDR-inspired menu http://www.tv-turm.de/de/gastronomie.php definitely at least go up the tower.

Register for the Parliament dome tour, which gives amazing views.

http://www.berlin.de/orte/sehenswuerdigkeiten/gendarmenmarkt/ is also a lovely area, and Fassbender & Rausch is so worth doing.

Fassbenders is fantastic. Remember not to touch any of the sculptures.

I wrote up a pretty lengthy report of a trip I had with 2 friends just over a year ago on another thread. You might find something of interest in it: http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showpost.php?p=87626673&postcount=27
