Education posts jobs - waste of time?

    Ill give an example,

    Job put up on the 3rd
    Application Closing Date: 5th
    Commencement Date: 8th

    Any job thats advertised like this looks to be a case of "job is already gone but we must advertise anyway"
    Or so it seems

    A Possibility ... But it could also be a teacher gone on sick leave with little or no notice and the principal wanting to fill the post ASAP. Stuff like this does happen in schools.

    it could be something that doesn't require interview and needs to be filled asap such as sudden sick leave
