Looking to buy a golf set for my husband but have no idea which one to choose or where to buy from. He plays sporadically but looking for something that's good quality.
Wilson 1200, Wilson x31 and Wilson profile have all been suggested but not sure of the difference or whether they are best for price range. Looking to spend a maximum of 300.

    Any advice would be great.

Golf store europe are doing a Ben Sayers M11 set stand bag so no trolley needed full set free delivery for €214, would be decent starter set I would imagine.

Sorry can't post link but Google is your friend

Where are you based? If you're anywhere west of the Shannon I'd highly recommend paying a visit to GolfStyle in Galway. Extremely helpful lads.

I'd also recommend buying second hand. There's a lot of value in used gear and 300 bucks would get you a pretty decent set of used irons.

If your budget is 300, then yes you can get Wilsons but I would suggest a voucher from a reputable pro shop or golf shop as the better option. That way he can buy in the new year sales and choose his own weapons ;).

For €300, he could easily get a very good second hand set and that would be far more sensible as a long term value plan (he should even have a few yo-yos left for balls etc).

This is always a tough question. Myself i would rather but a second hand set and a 2 year old driver and Hybrid which you could get for around 300 rather than a cheaper starter set.
For a bit of haggling You have a set to last years.

Lots a stuff on adverts that is in super condition and still top of the range even if it is a couple of years old.
