Good price for a 'must have' kitchen accessory. The most used thing in my kitchen anyway. Highly recommended

Lads, ye might be able to answer me...

I'm completely ignorant of the healthy smoothie craze - currently my biggest trouble is doing away with the three slices of toast I have every evening I come in for work!

Question is, does a healthy smoothie fill you up and quench your hunger?

Good device if it suits your dietary/health needs.

..if you're a meat and 2 veg. eater, you'll be giving the NutriBullet dirty looks within days.

Think of taking a look at alternatives like the Nutri Ninja (UK model BL480UK in particular), various models start with a 900watt motor and the shape of the blades tend to deal with certain material in a more efficient manner.

Is it not a vastly overpriced blender?

I've been looking a buying the nutribullet for a while as I'd love to be able to make more juices from vegetables which is not really possible with a blender.
I have a blender at home and its fine for making soft fruit smoothies, pesto, hummus etc however I wouldn't chance trying to juice carrots or beetroot in it.
I saw a video of the nutribullet and looks like it would do the job for making vegetable juices. I had a juicer previously and I ended up throwing it out as half the fruits and vegetables ended up just being wasted.

The only thing about making smoothies with no pulp, is that once that's gone, so is the fiber, and basically your "healthy" smoothie is a sugar fix with vitamins.

The fiber keeps you full, and stops your insulin from spiking quickly after the natural sugars in the fruit. It's way nicer with reduced pulp, but with the pulp in it, it's way better for you.

Just a fyi for anyone who may not have known that.

I'd like this or the Nutrininja but 109 still seems like a lot, is this the best price out there?

But that's not what the Bullet does is it? It liquifies everything?

Yes it is...you can get a 800/900 watt kenwood that will do a better job and more for less with attachables

Better off with a real blender. Vastly overpriced for a limited use

    Nutribullet doesn't remove the pulp

Saw that, but with postage there's nothing in it to bricks & mortar in HM or Currys.

This is just a rip off of the magic bullet or amazing bullet or any of the other mini blenders that have been around for the last 10 years.
Years ago, I picked up the magic bullet with all accessories in Dunnes for €29. It was a great piece of kit that just wasn't used so I eventually stuck the whole lot on jumbletown as the accessories took up a lot of space.

If you just want something to make smoothies, get this! Very convenient and only comes with what you need. That's what I use now.

Or just wait until after Christmas/New year when they slash the prices to prepare for other products. Every year I see stuff I love in the likes of Debenhams that sell at crazy prices but if I hold off I can get them for half (sometimes even a quarter) of the original price!

Put "Nutri"in the name and triple the price. ..score.

I have been looked at the Nutribullet for ages, and I know the other half has ideas of getting it for me for xmass, 109 seems really nuts for a blender though, I am wondering if its worth it. I do know I will get the use out of it as make smoothies a lot already (make with great difficulty and mess with a stick blender!) and I am really looking to increase veg intake so like the idea that you can plenty of veg in them.

Does this or this compare in any way??!

I couldn't tell you how either compare, or if any are any good. All I can tell is the 'Bullet has a 600W motor, whereas the two you linked have 300W motors.

Might pick up something like this... What's the difference between having a 300W and 600W motor? Just what food you can break down?

I have the Kenwood and I use it daily for smoothies. Has blended everything I've thrown at so far anyway. Great piece of kit.

Bought another today as a present. e25 in Tesco at the moment with a 2nd cup included.

Thanks for the reply! Will it do veg - carrots, beetroot etc, and will it do nuts? Hoping to throw everything into smoothies
