Opel Corsa - Warning

Just wondering if anyone can shed some light on this..
I've an Opel Corsa car and it's NCT is due next Thursday.
I seldom use the car..i would only do a few miles every week.
Recently, a red warning light on the dashboard has been showing up..it relates to the air bag...as if there was an issue with it?!
I don't really want to take my car for a servicing just yet, I'm hoping to get it through the NCT first and if anything needs fixing then get it done after the test. I've taken my car in for servicing before NCT's and it ended up costing so much...and I really don't want a massive bill before Xmas.
Any thoughts on this would be appreciated.
