The Good Wife for best TV drama I'd say. Season 6 is so good! Great storyline this year.

I haven't seen a lot of the noms this year but I'm hoping that Redmayne wins for Theory of Everything and am very much looking forward to Fey and Poehler.

9pm highlights show, red carpet arrivals first

watching a bit of the red carpet, had to turn it off just too awkward

all the red carpet hosts have to go through the pretence if being interested in who the men are wearing so that they can ask the women what they are wearing without being accused of being sexists

Afaik, its coverage from NBC that's doing the red carpet, similar to last year.

It's a pity that SkyLiving are doing it anymore as they used to do it at 11.30 & highlights next nite, although it was an hour after RTE2.

That annoying geriatric Giuliana pouncing on people & afaik Ryan Seacrest is their boss now, i hear? & had Kevin Spacey on & let slip a spoiler on Houseof Cards

Btw: anyone got a link to live show?

I gave it 2 minutes, I'm convinced if I arrived naked wrapped in a plain blue carpet from Des Kellys the clowns on the carpet would be admiring the nautical look.

Before Cumberbatch photobombed the photo between Kim & Meryl, wasnt he wearing a white suit before that as later on, he was wearing a black suit?

    was it him?

    was it him?

When it first showed 'Kim' holding up the magazine, Cumberbatch was sitting behind with his partner & then 'Kim' moved over to the left to Meryl to take the photo.

It was similar to the one he done to an unsuspecting U2 band, remember it was shown on Graham Norton's show.

The TV winners were kind of weird, I've never heard of the best drama or best comedy winners.

It's been such a good year for TV but the big hitters seemed to be fighting it out in the miniseries categories.

As for movies, all the winners were fairly obvious so no excitement there. I'm thrilled that JK Simmons is getting more recognition these days, I adore him.

Transparent has been getting great reviews. Heard of it but haven't seen it yet - not surprised that it won.

Anyone watching this? A few awkward moments to say the least. :pac:

Salma Hayek/Kevin Hart and Cumberbatch/Aniston were particularly awkward as presenting partners.

Kevin Hart can be very annoying

Speaking of awkward co-presenters............Is there bad blood between Katherine Heigl and David duchovny or something, because that just seemed really uncomfortable. Either that or David Duchovny was just off his box on coke.

Heigl has a bad rep alright

The only presenters who jelled well imo were Hader and Wig (SNL) and real life hubby and wifey Anna Faris and Chris Pratt

I missed the first hour so didnt get to see those........will check it out on the player. Seemed to be a fair few awkward moments overall though, Like Kevin spacey's speech, I think the audience didnt know whether to laugh or remain respectful when he seemed to reach the punch line. And George Clooney's tribute to his wife..........It was obviously genuine and from the heart, but he stumbled over his words to the point where his poor wife just looked like she wished the ground would open up and swallow her. Even Bill murray looked uncomfortable, which I didnt think was possible.

Loved their joke about the Theory of Everything. "It has the two things that audiences love. A crippling nerve disease and complicated maths problems" :D
