Looking to do some detailing this weekend but I'm short a few brushes to clean in and around my alloys.

Any ideas where I could pick up a relatively inexpensive set?

    Sound!

How about a group buy on Wheel Woolies after Christmas Curran?

After trying several different types of wheel brushes I am going to break the bank and play safe.

What's so good about the wheel woollies vs a few old microfibres?

And are soft so lessening the chances of damaging your wheels.

Anyone tried the soft 99 wheel mitt? I really want to try one. Look a good idea.

I'm also a wheel Woolies fan, have the ez wheel/motorcycle brush too.

I think that will depend on the quantity ordered.
There was a group buy on these a few months back,
    Cant remember the price though.

    ** EDIT **

Just found it on another forum
They were 39.95 per set based on minimum of 10 buyers.
    This was a 20% discount.
So probably around the same as that.

Noproblem at all I don't mind paying extra money for good quality brushes which I'm sure curran will only do good brushes so I'm happy

Just watched a few vids on the wheel woolies, they look the right job!! i did all 4 wheels off the car 2 weeks ago with wonder wheels and pressure washer, they look mint now so i want to keep them well, but don't fancy taking all 4 off every time... where can you get wheel woolies in Ireland? who stock them?

Detailing shed have them in stock

I wouldnt use wonder wheels on my wheels.

    Too harsh,

Did you seal them up with anything after cleaning them?

If not they will get very dirty very fast,
If you only put a coat or 2 of Collinite 845 on them it will protect them and make cleaning them much easier,

Is that on your alloys buck? Mine are in sh!(!(TE again only after the garage washed the car on Friday, I put probably 600km up on it since then, but still they are like as if they were never washed!!

+1 for wheel woolies, my Boxer had a go at the handle on my big brush though :p

Used to use my ezdetailing brush for my exhaust pipes too great job until handle broke (i know it wasn't designed for this use but i can see it happenning after abit even on wheels as it's a poor twist off anticlockwise design)

That is what I use mainly now,

I remember I spent 5 hours doing the wheels and arches on my red car. Had to take it to the dealer overnight to check out an issue.
Left strict instructions not to wash it.
    What did they do..??

    Yes,
"We did not wash it, we only blew it down with TFR and rinsed it, I swear we never put a brush or anything near it"

You guess it. Every bit of wax removed from the paint and the wheels. They must have put the damn thing on pure..

    I was savage,
