Ways to get into BESS?

    The course I want to do is BESS. If I don't get the points are there any level 6/7 courses or post leaving cert I could do and get into BESS that way?

    If you fulfill the criteria of the HEAR scheme, apply through that. They will knock off a number of points from your requirement. It's impossible to say how many exactly because it depends on the number of slots for TAP students and other factors. Someone in my year got in with 420 when the requirement was 490 I think.

    You can also do the TAP Foundation Course. Research what it's about online. But it'll be much easier if you just get the points tbh. They are not extortionately high by Trinity's standards. Make sure to strategically choose your LC subjects that you can get most points out of and then work hard at them in Sixth year.

    Get a higher cert in Business - Apply to second year.
    Apply as mature student to first year when you're 23.
