Wii arcade stick

Well, I FINALLY got the Wii back into action, I previously had it chipped and modded in part via Zelda but bought a second hand one last year to softmod afresh (bargain at €20!)
Softmod carried out, all my games now backed up to ext hard drive (after a couple of incompatible efforts) looking lovely and neat on the USB loader.
Sega, SNES, MAME and N64 emulators with nice forwarders up and running and selected ROM's in place, couple of VC games thrown up there too.
Went to play Rygar via MAME yesterday evening and my Wii controller was crap, hooked up my Gamecube controller and a little better but still not giving me the feedback I'm looking for...

Quick search and it appears there's really only two options, the Logic 3 or Hori but hard to track down, anyone here any suggestions or don't mind a PM if you have one in perfect working order and willing to part with....

    Thanks!

The Wii exclusive Tatsunoko Vs Capcom comes in a normal edition and one that has an arcade stick, its out there and excellent.
I couldn't pick one up myself so I bought one of these

A little spongy but decent and very very cheap. I think mine was less than 15 posted from Amazon .

Cheers for reply, what make is that stick, I can't quite make it out.
That Tatsunoko Vs Capcom is around but not cheap!

Link to the game, not too expensive.
But the stick seems to have gained in value for some reason, it's not a fantastic stick but does what it says on the tin.

Link to a cheaper stick, this stick is cheaper thanks to the postage, to the UK at least, being free. The seller is also accepting offers, throw one down, take a chance, and use Parcel Motel. Probably work out around €23 for the stick including shipping, which isn't bad.

Cheers, there was another seller @14.99 so I made him an offer so we'll see how it goes..

Well, stick arrived today but can't get it to work with any games, from snagging it appears that when it is connected it's like the joystick is permanently scrolling left and none of the buttons are delivering any responses on screen.
Purchased via Parcel Motel so a return is just not worth it.
    Any advice?

My Wii Guitar Hero controllers did that sometimes. I never figured out what caused it, but disconnecting the WiiMote from the guitar, taking the batteries out and putting it back together again used to fix it.

How does it connect to the Wii? Does the WiiMote plug in like the GH controllers or is it battery/USB powered?

It connects to a WiiMote via the Nunchuck port, the stick itself is not powered, I'll try fresh batteries

Yep, same as the GH controllers so. Just happens occasionally. Not even sure if the batteries make a difference (unless the ones that your using are on their last legs). Putting the same ones back in worked fine for me. Weirded me out the first time it happened though, ha. I turned on the Wii and the hand was slowly moving off the screen to the left.

Ah, I think there was a conflict with my gamecube controller, I managed to get into the dip switch settings on MAME and reset the player 1 controls so all good as I only want to use it with MAME anyhow. Not a bad controller.

I used to have that issue whenever I had my Wiimote in a GH guitar because of the way I tucked them in against the wall, the stick was pressed left when the Wii powered up, meaning that full-left was the detected as the rest position, so centered/rest became full-right. Reseting the Wii with the stick correctly centered always fixed. Had the same issue in the N64 emulator regardless of stick position at power-up, never managed to fix it :(
