Im gearing up to make a purchase, prob a longines, and it will probably be online, but id like to for once buy in a store. From what I see though, stores in dublin ate 30 to 40% more than online prices generally.

Has anyone ever asked about price matching in any of the reputable jewellers in dublin, and how did you get on?

If I can find things online cheaper then in store, I always see if the store can match the price.
My opinion is surely they want the sale rather then not getting it.

I dont really like buying things online, but do when I have to. I find that most stores are willing to lower their prices, if you can show them the net price. Also I find if the store is quiet and no other customers are in earshot they are more likely listen to you. If its crowded they then to just say the price is the price.
