Reasonable heel height for day?

Just got these boots online- 2wp2fjt.jpg

Rarely am I completely 50/50 about whether to send something back or not :P

Need people's opinions- what's a reasonable heel height to wear during the day? I love the feel and colour of these but worry that the 3.5" heel height is excessive, and I'll happily stomp around my flat in them but when it comes time to walk 30 minutes to the train station or whatever, I'll opt for flats.

Do you guys limit the height of your heels for daytime, and to what extent? What's a reasonable limit? Also don't want to look high maintenance, but these will go well with certain clothes.

    Opinions welcome/needed :P

It depends what you're planning on wearing the boots with IMO! I reckon you could get away with them as daytime shoes though. I got a lovely pair of block heeled boots last summer and have been adding heels to my collection more since, mostly ankle boots. I usually wear them with nice dresses, cardigans and black tights. I suppose it depends on the type of heel as well - stiletto heels don't really work with a casual outfit for example.

I usually like flats but fell in love with my boots this year, five inches and I stomp around in them till I die! So nice and so worth it

since I dont wear heels, I reckon about 5-6 inches would be lovely.... ha ha

They're lovely!!! Where are they from? :) You definitely can wear them as daytime shoes, as @XxMCRxBabyxX said with a nice dress and tights or I even think they'd look lovely with jeans or leggings tucked in and a baggy top or jumper. For me it would just depend on if the heel height is comfortable to walk in for the day. I prefer walking in flats but I've a pair of boots that I can potter around in for the day and they've a 2 inch heel. I suppose it's what you're used to.

After looking at all those pictures I want new boots now :(

Those boots are lovely and I think they are not too high for daytime wear. If you are used to wearing flats you might find that the balls of your feet maybe sore for the first few days so it is worth getting a couple of those gel pads for the first week or so. I normally have to do that when I go from flats to heels.

Nope, I wear a 4 to 5 inch heel pretty much all the time. Don't actually own a pair of flats.

Have a few pairs of boots like those ones for shopping trips into town, rugby matches etc.

They're gorgeous, OP, you'll get absolutely loads of wear out of them.

Right, you've all convinced me, feck it I'm keeping them! Even if they're not absolute every day staple shoes, I feel good in them and that's a nice feeling :)

They're ex-Aldo, sold in new condition on eBay. Don't you just love eBay...

    Thanks guys!
