My partner started a FAS course last monday and was told he will be paid one week in arrears. Has the "head of the family" he collects my money and my 2 kids money as well. Does this mean we won't get any money this week? And only 1 week payment next week? If that is the case this christmas is gonna be a hard one.

Sorry OP I can't answer your question but if your family are not going to get a payment this week you should go down to your Community Welfare Officer and apply for Supplementary Welfare allowance.

May help you may not but when I started a FAS Course last year the DSP paid me the first week of the course and FAS payments started second week. When I finished I got FAS pay the first week after then my payment went back to the regular DSP payment as I was unsuccessful in obtaining employment as a result of the course.

Talk to the fas supervisor,as technically he is employed.
