Hey guys,

Have any of you experienced the secret santa sale that is coming up in Harvey Norman? I was holding out until after christmas to get a new tv in the sales but id buy it in the secret sale if the discounts were as good!! Anyone know??

Harvey Norman is an absolute rip off, I've never seen anything in there, even in a sale that wasn't cheaper somewhere else.

Maybe not the answer you were looking for but just a heads up!

I have a major issue with the quality of products from H.N. obviously not their electrics but couches, dining tables and the like I are terrible. When I bought my house 7 years ago I used the low prices and credit to kit out the house and I have to say the only thing that didn't brake or fall and part was the Philips TV. serious lesson learned.

My mother-in-law bought a dining room table and chairs for €899 from HN. First table split at one of the joints of the legs, the replacement arrived damaged, and the third and final one suffered the same problem as the first.

So after about 6mths of back and forth - she finally got a full refund.

Ikea is excellent for furniture. When are selling a book case for 25 years and produced millions. You are going to fix production problems along the way.

Unless you are buying a €3k Italian sofa or a sofa from IKEA. Dont expect furniture last. Quality isn't cheap unless it's IKEA.

I think the poster is responding to the posts regarding the dubious quality of some Harvey Norman items and suggesting that IKEA may be a better alternative to the Secret Sale seller.

They don't always price match, i had a tablet reserved in argos and the gave me a big 'nope' regarding price matching it last year.....
