Thumb is throbbing and really sore

Didn't know where to put this!

Can anybody help me out here, I have this infection under my nail on my thumb and it really really hurts, Can't sleep over it and it has messed my sleep pattern up over the pain, I can only sleep for a hour at max if i do fall asleep, It's sort of a dark grey color, Was purple and black.. Anybody any ideas on what to do, I'm on antibiotics, but they keep the pain away for a few hours and it comes back

Elastic band around the base and then chop the finger off. Cauterise with a car cigarette lighter (like the torture from Man on Fire).

Should be fine after a while.

Also, please note that antibiotics do not equal pain meds.
