Why so many adds at the start?

I just want to catch up.

I'm on the 5th add as I write this.

The explanation for your questions rests purely in the first part of this thread title.

Mad about their Adverts our RTE. Probably why there is no RTE Catch up Service on Sky either. Extremely frustrating.

I gave up on RTE player long ago, anytime I tried to use the site it crashed, or just wouldn't load, or only played ads and nothing else.

If you think RTE's one is bad, try TV3's

I noticed this the other night. It's at the point now where I will look elsewhere online to see if what I wanted to watch is available by other means.

This is absolutely ridiculous at this stage.... I wanted to see the end of the Late Late one week, and they forced me to watch the ads at the start of the player, and the ads for ALL the subsequent intervals, before seeing the five minutes I actually wanted to see.... I wont be using it again..

Dont want to change theme of this forum but does anyone know how I can get a copy of the link of the ad last year for (Eircom I think) of two decorations being unpacked each year - a reindeer and a fairy - and they never get placed near each other until one year, they are packed away together. My elderly mother has me mithered about this so if anyone would help.................. Btw I've searched Youtube and Google and no luck.

A tip if you've UPC is to use their version of the RTE Player where possible - no adverts.

I say "where possible" because unfortunately it only features a subset of what's on the online version, mainly programmes actually made by RTE and shown in the last seven days.
