Im on the lookout for a van around the same price range as yours and my GFs father swears by the Renault Traffic. He has a 06 one from new and its never given him a days bother. He does serious mileage in it and its still going strong so im thinking of getting one although there is many who would say they aint great.......so it kinda depends on who you talk to i think plus those vans and their clones cant be that bad if they are all over the place, I cant recall how many i actually seen on the road today so im guessing the Traffic and its clones are good vans. Then there is the Transit which my brother who is mechanic swears by...but others i know tell me to keep away from them as they are heavy on juice and an uncomfortable ride.

I think it might just come down to being lucky and picky about what you buy after that you will always get people telling you to stay away from this an that when in fact they probably never even had one they just heard it from a mate of a mate....

Be careful to take note of the weight of the van as if it's over 3500 kilos without a load then it's classified as a 'light truck' and you will require a C1 licence to be able to drive it on the road.

    This too shall pass.

At that money you're in Hiace territory, I'd rate them stronger than the Renault, maybe not as comfy on a long trip but more reliable in general.
