As the title says, what happens if you tag on to take the luas to your destination but it's delayed and you need to seek alternative travel and tag off.

    Will I be charged.

You will be charge the minimum fare of 1 stage.
Around €1.50 depending on what line your on.

I learned this the hard way when the luas got struck at heuston station.

I had similar with a when a train service was cancelled so I tagged off and got the bus. I was charged 2x full train fares and queried it and got a full refund. They did say had I tagged off within 15 mins it would of refunded but I had waited about 40 mins.
