Looking for an app which record sonds from the mac as mp3s.

I record BBC4 extra radio shows and listen to them on my iphone

I use freecorder on a pc and it works great http://freecorder.com/

Can't find anything for the mac or at least with out a lot of hassle

Audio Hijack Pro is what you're after, but it's not free.

Are you sure the BBC don't offer them as podcasts?

I think Audacity will record audio playing on the Mac in real time - and it's free !

Hijack is the daddy but as mentioned it's no longer free though the Demo will record for a short period of time so you can test it out.
