New clubs now or after Xmas?

    Quick question, I see Golf stores are running many discounts and promotions in the run up to Christmas. I am going to be purchasing clubs soon and am wondering if it would be better value to wait til the new year to make purchases?

    The cost of clubs go down when the likes of taylormade or ping announce the launch of their new ranges so that is what you have to look out for.

    Either hold out till the new clubs come out for next season or wait till after Christmas to buy discount clubs. I'm sure Golf shops will be trying to get rid of there old stocks to make way for new stocks. Either way I would not buy now.

    Shops carry very little stock if you are looking for irons they are generally ordered. They may have the driver or wedges in stock if you just want the stock shaft. you really need to see when the new launch is hitting the shops of the brand you are after and last years model will usually be on sale for half price as the manufactures are trying to move on all the old stock.
