farming green cert

    What are the options for getting to trained farmer.

    I hear of the fetac level 6 via teagusc costing 2k and taking 2 years.

    Is there a cheaper or quicker route

    not sure is theres a cheaper way, but you can get it in a shorter time if you have a degree in another discipline...I think teagasc have a monopoly on greencerts, but not 100% sure on this

    Hi I am in the process of completing level 6 in the green cert at the moment.Does anyone know what I need to do now to avail of grants and entitlements I can avail of.My dad is still working the farm and I help out and have not yet gotten a herd number.any advice is appreciated thanks.

    If you have a level six already in anything you can do green cert mostly on-line .It takes bout year and a half ..Cost 2500. Im currently doing this...Its not ideal but its ok I think. About 28 days in college over the duration
