Does anyone know is there a priority as to which is heated first is it water first then rad? Can you change priority?
Stove - heats water - pipe goes from stove to hot press tank and piped to a rad in a room.

I happened to notice Today after a bath , obviously the tank was now cold , despite the stove roaring with a big fire , the rad was only Luke warm.

I'm presuming that is because the stove was back heating the water and when it reaches temperature tank is set at, the rad will start to heat again .? Is this right ?
If so , can you change it the other way round , I mean force the rad to be heated first then , when hot , let the water start to heat ? How would you do this? Is it a handy enough job.

Ps the rad is only there specifically for the purpose of :overheating : should the stove become to hot and :overheat: the water in hot press tank......

Any advice on how to safely heat rad first , then water , without causing issues/danger....thks

    Paddy
