    I was looking for a goretex pair as want to get a few years out of em... I've torn the arse out of many a pair... What about yourself, do you have goretex gear?

    I've been wearing a pair of Quicksilver pants that are a shell for a total of 5 weeks on the hill now with virtually no visible wear. Goretex would be harder wearing in my mind. You'll only visibly wear them out if a dark colour, slide on your but a lot or let them hang over your heals when walking. Go to snow and rock and try a pair on. Work out the size and see how they feel.
