Surgery with Chesty Cough

Yesterday I woke up with a bit of a chesty cough. I am due to go into hospital tomorrow for a tonsillectomy. I have been taking bennelin and I have been steaming myself regularly with vicks to try suppress the cough. They have helped but have not totally gotten rid of the cough.
Is it likely for my surgery to be postponed? I've already had my operation postponed 5/6 times due to the lack of beds and I just really want it to be over and done with by now.

There are no medical experts here and certainty nobody who should be giving medical advice but generally an anaesthesiologist will be unwilling to proceed if there is a chest infection. You really should have contacted the surgeon's office for advice.
