4k gaming build, opinions?

So, I've spent about a month deciding on the new build for my PC and I think I'm gonna hit the 4k market. I sit very close to my monitor so 1080p just wont cut it in terms of detail and I could always go for 1440p if I find my computer can't handle 4k very well.

There's two options for the monitor, either go with a 21:9 1440p monitor or a 4k monitor. I realise there's a new PB279Q coming out soon which'll be an IPS 4k monitor. However, the extra expected cost wont fit into my budget.

This is the build I've done up so far: http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/p/Mcvxt6

However, I'm looking for opinions on whether or not I should go for a 2tb drive with 128gb ssd or keep the 1tb drive with 256gb ssd.

I realise that there's a f*ck tonne of fans and that when it comes to fans quality beats quantity generally but yeah, mainly for aesthetics.

I'll have it so that there's two 140mm fans on the front of the case pushing air back, the two 140mm on the 280l will be replaced with two Corsair SP140's(for aesthetics). Two 120mm fans on the underside pulling air out the case from underneath. Then the other SP120 fan will be mounted onto the R9 295x2 for extra cooling on the rad that'll be mounted at the rear of the case (Although I'm not sure will there be enough room in which case I'd move one of the front fans to the rear and mount the r9 295x2 rad in the front.

The pre-installed NZXT fans will probably be put onto another computer that I'll probably(Not entirely sure yet) be building soon.

I may also paint the heatsinks on the motherboard to purple for the theme. - Not sure on this yet. Edit: After reading up further on it would probably be best just to leave it.

So, does anyone have any opinions? Change of motherboard etc? I sometimes make stupid mistakes when putting together my own builds and want to be sure before I splash the cash this time.

Also, some of the components will probably be cheaper as all of the parts will be bought after Christmas but before New Year as there should be the usual sales around then to get rid of stock. Although I'm not sure if I'll risk the wait with the r9 295x2 as I haven't seen it so cheap before and I'm afraid it wont come down in price again.

Oh and the monitor is €50 cheaper on Hardwareversand so I'm thinking of getting that from there. Regardless of my very very bad experience this time around with them.

The asus pb 278q was £380 recently from amazon so I'd expect it to drop again once the newer version comes out. Just have to keep alert.

Ah, didn't notice that drop in price. Thanks for letting me know. :)

Anyone have any suggestions on whether to go for 1440p 21:9 or a 4k monitor? I have no experience with the 21:9 monitor, anybody tried it? What was the experience like? :)
