    Hey Folks,

    Can anybody tell me what the odd field markings around Colganstown House near Newcastle are?

    Seem too regular to be natural.

    If you mean the marks two fields to the SSW, they are crop marks from 18th/19th C field walls.

    Hi Slowburner,


    The whole area is marked with what would appear to be old boundary lines.

    What I was looking at is in the field North of the access road to the house.

    Symetrical pattern in a distorted H design.


    Unless they are just the original field boundaries?
