Newbie Golf Clubs - Left Handed

I have very recently played a few rounds of golf and am looking to pick up a cheapish set of clubs. I am right handed but played hurling and hockey for years with my left side being my "strong side". I have only actually used right handed clubs the 3 times I have played but the last day another golfer let me use his left handed driver to tee off and it felt so much more comfortable.

I have read a lot on buying clubs and dont really want to spend in excess of 150e, purely for the fact I could end up hating it. There isnt a lot on the market for second hand left handed clubs on adverts or done deal. However, SportsDirect have a Dunlop set reduced too 145 and you can get 20% off that again. Are these any good or am I better off looking around a bit more?

You'd be better off buying second hand clubs rather than those Dunlops.
Lots of irons TM burners or Pings older models but still great clubs. Try adverts.ie or golf bidder even a local pro shop.
I'm right handed but trying to strengthen my left side to stop me coming over the top. My coach says to lead with the left as thats where the target is (for a right hander). Everything else follows.
Each to their own I suppose.

Phil Mickelson is right handed, playing as a leftie hasn't done him too much harm.

Actually keep meaning to pick up a cheap left handed 7-iron to try and use it. unfortunately with my erratic driving I'd have plenty of use for it from under trees!

If you're Munster based OP I'm a right handed leftie golfer. Have an old set of McGregor sitting idle in the attic you're welcome to them if they're any good to you.

I'll continue looking so. I was only looking at full sets, suppose I can build one. Lead with the left? As a complete novice I have no idea what that means.

I am Dublin based but am actually down in Limerick this weekend. Depending on where you are I could most likely get to you. That would be ideal.

I am right handed and right side dominant so if I try to give it my all I move my right side first. This makes me cut across the ball causing a slice. Commonly known as an over the top swing check out some videos on you tube.

If I was right handed and left side dominant the swing would be more natural for golf (like playing backhand in tennis).

My goal is to develop my left side more so it leads at the top of the backswing as opposed to the right pulling across causing an over the top swing which is no good.
