Morphy Richards 4slice toaster shown as MR Accents purple on Tesco.ie at price of €23.03 but vanished when I tried to order. Similar models in store marked €69.99.

Found one in Wilton tonight (plum, not purple) - it scanned at €23.03! Yay! Didn't get to check the other colours on the shelf, which are very slightly different, i suspect it's only this one that's reduced or mispriced. Should be country wide though.

Any Morphy Richards product I ever had was rubbish. Kettles stopped working, irons leaking etc etc. I wouldn't even consider buying anything from them.

I am on my 3rd Morphy Richards' kettle. Just hold on to the receipt. They come with a 2 year warranty. The all broke down for me within the 2 years.... then I just went along to Powercity with my receipt and picked out a free replacement :D

Same here with the kettle. On my 3rd in 3years. Last one went days before warranty was out :)

I could see a new marketing slogan for these guys. Pay once.... and get a lifetime of new kettles every year :D

I'll say ive had a MR kettle and this very toaster for over a year. No problems at all. Looks very stylish as well. TBH, Id recommend it but some others here dont seem to agree.

Similar situation. Working fine albeit I've had it only 1.5 years.

Bear in mind toasters are energy hogs, so this could be wasteful if you only intend to toast 1 or 2 slices.

The reason I know what they are like, is that we have one at work. I have not timed it. But it seems to take twice as long as my toaster at home.

These same toasters were also reduced last year I think. Thats why the boss got one.
