Basic employer tax help required

Hi, I've done a bit of searching and googling but maybe I'm not using the right keywords, so if anyone can point me to where I read up on below, I'd greatly appreciate it :)

I'm a self employed sole trader for many years and used to the paperwork and tax requirements assoc with my own income tax and VAT etc.

One of our children has started some part time work for me in the past month or two. The amounts are relatively low - about €70 over a week and she is 17 at present. I've registered as an employer and am on ros.ie etc

I'm trying to figure out the basic paperwork I need to do, both at my end and for Revenue in terms of P30 forms etc. As far as I know, she can earn €8,250 free of income tax. I don't think she pays PRSI as child over 16, she carries out the work at home where the business is carried on, which is the case. Does she need to get a tax credit cert? Do I charge emergency tax now? Does she pay USC - I think so? I think I must pay employer PRSI?

What would suit me best , I think, is to handle the basic paperwork manually, not worth while investing in payroll software and then enter the info on ros.ie

If anyone can point to a website(s) where this is clearly explained, it'd be a good help to me, thanks.

Edited to add: I see she needs to send in a Form 12A for a tax credit cert. She has a PPS no etc., can that be used in interim to negate need for emergency tax until her cert comes through?

Now I've reminded myself why I've avoided employing people for the past 20+ years!!

There are tax calculators on the internet such as Deloittes, but I couldn't recommend them for tax purposes.

As the child is over 16 she will have to pay full taxes incl. PRSI due.

This will tell you what you need to do.

Thank you for your link - I'm figuring this out and will clarify with Department of Social and Family Affairs as to what PRSI I need to pay.
