is it true that cars with engines that have more than 3 liters are expensive in road tax?
people were talking about 2000+ euro a year and 4000 tax a year? is this true or are they just messing with me?

Porsche boxster S, 3.2 liter, manual

On the pre 2008 system, top rate of tax is €1809 on 3 litre plus engines. On the post 2008 tax system, the highest CO2 bracket (which usually incorporates 3 litre plus cars) is €2350 a year.

If the car is pre 2008, the tax will be: €1809 per year, which is the highest rate of tax, covers anything from 3001cc plus.

If post 2008, depends on the co2 emissions rating for the car itself, with a highest rate of €2350 per year

    *Edit: Damn I'm slow

They are not too far wrong after 2008 it is CO2 based, cars before that date are assessed on engine size. I think the max on a pre 2008 is 1800 EUR nd post 2008 about 2300 EUR.

    EDIT : No I am slow :p
