Sorry to resurrect an old thread. Did you ever get a solution to this? I have the same problem with a 2011 Fiesta.

Usually vibration at the steering wheel under braking is down to warped brake discs. If the are at or below minimum thickness they often warp quicker as there is less metal to dissipate the heat

Warped brakes should mainly show through pedal vibration ime

a vibration in the steering would suggest wishbones/suspension area

Yeah, I traded the car in against another one last year. With the same local dealer I bought it from so he couldn't really refuse.
Problem wasn't solved when I sold it. Delighted I did though. drove me nuts.

@00lk That wasn't what I wanted to hear. Looks like none of the suggestions provided so far will solve it. Thanks for the update.

It may be different for you. Have a mech check linkage and brake components on your car.
Maybe shift the back wheels to front.

Have you always had this issue? How long? Was any step taken to fix it already?

Sounds like 'well' failed/worn bushing/s... Not familar with your car! or loose caliper.....

I've had this problem a few times, having the rotors machined has sorted it out every time, its not an expensive fix, and it is a different vehicle under braking afterwards.
