Hi All - myself and my better half would love to spend 2 weeks travelling to Brazil and Argentina, we know that due to sheer size and things to see/do in both those countries this is a minuscule amount of time to see anything there but thought I might seek people's guidance as to what is best to do, or are we being too optimistic over what we can do? We can only spend 2 weeks as we are both hamstrung by work commitments. We were hoping to get to Rio for 3 nights, then spend a couple of nights in a Brazilian beach resort and then head to Buenos Aires for 3 nights with remainder of days to be allocated between travelling and peoples recommendations as to where else in Argentina/Brazil would be good to go. Any advice greatly appreciated.

Argentina - Buenos Aires and then head to Iguazu Falls.

Head for south brazil - we stayed in florinapolis - loads to do there. Head for Rio then.

It's a magnificent continent and you will have a ball. Enjoy.

Rio is great. Lots to do. Ihla grande and parati are both very nice as well. You'd probably just about get the Costa Verde done in two weeks. You could get overnight busses or else internal flights to iguazu if you wanted to see the falls.

If you have the cash, a flight from Rio up to one of the Refice/Natal beach resorts is probably your best bet. There are beaches in Rio of course, if you just want a few days with the sand.

In Argentina, BA is sensational, I spent 2 weeks there once, went back for another 10 days a few years later. There's loads to do, 3 days is too short. Rio, 3 days is loads.
