Does anybody have a recommendation for a product that's good for holding curls? I have straight hair and when I curl my hair they fall out so quickly. Either a product that I can put in when my hair is wet or something to spray on before/after I've curled.

I've yet to find a mousse/other product to put in my hair before curling that I really liked, but my mum uses Aveda Be Curly and she loves it (I've never tried it other than when scrunching my naturally wavy hair to dry naturally - it definitely encourages a curl and it's light and non-sticky. Also smells gorgeous). I use Aussie shine hairspray and it's really really good, strong hold without being crispy and it gives hair a great shine. Depending on what other products you use with it (for example, bargain basement mousse, ick) it can get a bit sticky but I think that's the case with all sprays really.

don't curl freshly washed hair ever. A light spray of sugar/mousse mixed with water just enough to barely dampen the hair and comb through before curling will help.Or baby wipe if you are using bendy rollers overnight are great. Best thing i ever got for curls was heated rollers or using a ghd with a little back combing down the curl at points to hold the shape.
