First Time Credit Card

    Hi I wonder could anyone please advise me what are the factors I need to consider getting my first credit card. The sole purpose of this card will be for security while travelling South America. I do not intend to ever use it over my visa debit card if I can manage this. I am just unsure how to go about choosing a bank / card type etc.
