Quitting Jobbridge early

Has anyone experience of quitting a jobbridge internship early ? Is this the right thing to do if you are not getting mentored or trained or getting any kind if challenging meaningful work or real responsibilities?

Go to your boss and tell them your problems and then give it a bit of time to see how things pan out.

If it's still the same then I'd tell them you're leaving.

I know of someone who did a jobbridge and finished early only after 4 months and they managed to get better job. I guess they just handed in their notice.
