Paying tax in UK

    Hi,
I could be starting a new job with a UK based company soon. I would be mainly working remotely here in Ireland but would travel over once every 2 months or so. My taxes would obviously go to the British government though? Just wondering if anything happened where I lose/quit the job for whatever reason, that I would be entitled to JSB here etc? Is it possible to pay taxes here in that situation?

    Thanks!

    Moved from state benefits.

With regard to Jsb after working in the uk(or paying uk tax)your uk stamps will be transferred to ireland and used providing that the last stamp you pay before signing on is an irish one.See here http://www.citizensinformation.ie/en/social_welfare/social_welfare_payments/unemployed_people/jobseekers_benefit.html

YOu need to address this with your UK employer. The default is that a UK company would operate a UK payroll and UK pAYE. However, if the right circumstances are met for a foreign based employee, they would seek a PAYE exclusion order and not subject it to UK PAYE. As there is an Irish employment, Irish PAYE would need to be applied and they may have to use an agency to do the ongoing paperwork.
