Just started and the first fight is an absolute cracker.
Virtually no defense, loads of clean punches landed, non-stop action.

After two rounds, both have thrown 220 punches each!!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,430 ✭✭✭megadodge

After three rounds one threw 323 the other 334!!
Their names were Craig Whyatt and Lee Martin and neither will win it, but what a battle!

Martin wins it on a split.

    Yes!!

    Jono through to the semi.

Johno Carroll just caused a big upset there, beating Steven Foster.

First time I've seen Carroll and I was very impressed. Very neat footwork, compact defense and fast hands. If he's up against Buckland next that will be a serious test.

Tough ask for Jono is the semi, Buckland looked very good there.

    Woah, what a knockout!

Heavy KO there. Devine KO'd Martin, both throwing left hooks, but Devine's landed first giving the 'double impact' effect.

Great first round by Jono imo! One moment he was wobbled but thought he won the round well.

Excellent first round from Carroll. Really classy.

Buckland's second, but win or lose Carroll is really showing a lot of potential here. Definitely one to watch.

1-1, huge last round needed from Carroll.

I think Buckland nicked it, but what an effort from such an inexperienced boxer. Well done Johno.

    YESSSSSSSSSSSSS

I thought Buckland just nicked it as well but can't argue with that!! :)

Just watching the Ward/Hughes fight and with the two 'knockdown' given against Ward it got me thinking - if you're a judge who has a different (and correct) view to the ref, and you know the 'knockdown' the ref has given shouldn't have been counted, how do you mark the round? Do you ignore him?

Surprised to see Audley Harrison hasn't tried to wiggle his way into this Prizefighter
