    PC-Specs

    - 8GB G.Skill RipJaws-X PC3-12800U CL10
    - ASRock H77 Pro4/MVP, Sockel 1155, ATX
    - Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO - Intel/AMD
    - HIS HD 7950 IceQ
    - Intel Xeon E3-1230v2
    - Samsung SSD 840 EVO Basic 120GB SATA 6Gb/s
    - Super-Flower Amazon 80Plus 450W
    - WD Blue 1TB 6Gb's

So I'm planning to get one off the GTX 970 some time, around next year, and just wondering if my current power supply be able to handle the power requirement of the card which is '550W' that's what the gigabyte website said. While I have a 450w power supply in the system.

As long as it has the connectors it'll be fine. Even overclocked 970 systems don't usually draw more than around 400W from the wall.

Yes the power supply has all the connectors the GPU would need, Alright thank you for your help.

I'd say that setup with a 970 wouldn't draw more than about 300-330w actually!
